We are Mind HK
We are here to ensure no one in Hong Kong has to face a mental health problem alone
Mind HK is a mental health charity here to ensure no one has to face a mental health problem alone in Hong Kong. Through our work, we hope to improve awareness of mental health and mental health conditions, remove the associated stigma, and provide talking therapy, with the aim of achieving the best mental health for all in Hong Kong. Together with the existing collaboration and research efforts, we are here to support Hong Kong in becoming a global leader and regional model for public mental health.

Direct Services Our pioneering Improving Access to Community Therapies (iACT®) programme involves training and placing Wellbeing Practitioners to offer free, short-term, low-intensity mental health services 1:1 to youth and adults in Hong Kong facing mild to moderate mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression. This iACT® service, which is based on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, is available online (via www.iact.hk) and in host organisations (e.g. schools, NGOs, clinics). Services are rigorously evaluated and researched to ensure quality and effectiveness. |
Outreach Campaigns and Partnerships We develop and host campaigns, events, and international conferences to raise mental health awareness and support the mental health of communities. View our upcoming events here. |

Anti-stigma Work ”More Than a Label” is a project in partnership with MINDSET Hong Kong, which seeks to change and influence the public’s perception towards persons with mental health problems. Through this project, we train ambassadors (individuals who have lived experience of mental health problems and are in recovery) and develop platforms (e.g., events, websites, social media) for them to share their personal stories of mental health journeys. We believe in the power of storytelling to reduce the stigma around mental health conditions and want to showcase realistic portrayals of people who have faced mental health problems and are in recovery to ignite hope in others. Learn more about the More Than a Label here and read our ambassadors’ stories here. |
